Concept:
“A Master in Mosaic”, created by Graphic Design student Elizabeth Voss, explores the creation and use of tints, shades, and neutralizations to recreate a Master’s painting. This piece involved creating value scales, from light to dark shades of color, and over 30 hours of intricately cutting and positioning the 1/4” mosaic pieces on a sketch of the painting.
Materials:
Original painting by Pablo Picasso used for reference. Value scales created using Bristol Board, acrylic paint and cut with scissors.
